Could you explain why? Same amount of fuel passes through the inlet line
to the servo as through the outlet line to the distribution block, just
under lower pressure, at least with the Bendix/Precision system.

The EI transducer is not electrically the same as the Flow Scan unit,
it puts out about twice as many pulses and you engine monitor has to
be able to accept the higher data rate.

From what I can tell, this is going to be a future "Old Wives Tale"
regarding the installation on an RV-10. Perhaps it was an issue
on other airframes, but I don't see any issues with installation
in the Van's default location. I've run through the calibration
of the GRT EIS, and I routinely and repeatedly will fly for 40+
gallons of fuel and be within .1 or .2 of gallons (which was the
level that I calibrated it to) of my actual usage. I also see
no pressure pulses, no pressure drop, and no problems with fuel
flow. I think mine is the FloScan 201, to. So unless someone
has some very different information regarding the outcomes of
the use of the floscan, or the placement, SPECIFICALLY on an
RV-10 with an IO-540, I really think this is completely a non-issue.
