Tom-

I don't claim to understand all I know on the subject and I could easily have been misled on this matter. I can't confirm or deny the existence of an inlet screen on either the Facet electric boost pump or the Lycoming mechanical low pressure (carb) pumps.

I have done no servicing in this regard since I have never seen either a flow or pressure drop on my instrumentation since day one. But you raise a good point and maybe someone on the list here can enlighten us all.

Inquiring minds want to know, do the Facet 40108 and/or Lycoming LW-15472 (Low Pressure) have serviceable inlet screens?

-Thx

I have been looking over your annual inspection list - thanks very much for that, BTW. It makes reference to a fuel pump screen. I was not aware of this. I haven't been able to find any reference to it on the internet. Do standard Lycoming fuel pumps have screens? What do I have to do to access the screen?

Thanks

[quote]I just bought a Facet pump, there is no inlet screen. The instructions require a 74 micron inlet filter (not included).

Are you talking about the finger screen in the sump?
