Hello all--- I preparing N443DM (mod IV) for 1st flight and am having a problem rigging the flaperons!

1st-- the construction manual call out an angle of 19 to 20 deg down from horizontal on the flaperon bell crank. I also have spec sheets that says the angle should be 11 1/2 deg. I don't know which is correct.

2nd-- is the flap handle suppose to be full forward until it contacts the cross tube during the setup procedure.?

Thanks for the help

Dan,
from my 1994 classic 4 assembly manual, "Rigging the Flaperons":
step (16): Adjust the flap push-pull tube so the angle between the belly of the aircraft and the #15049 bellcrank is 11.4 degrees...(A "Smartlevel" is invaluable for this.)

Yes, that's how I rigged mine.

I also second the vote for the smart level. I rigged mine the old fashion way with a bubble level and a protractor the first time. That took me several days. I rigged it again a couple years ago with a smart level in a couple hours.

Thanks Tom, back to the airport on Saturday to try again. I guess the sheet spec's that specify 19 to 20 degrees is a mistake???? Oh yea I have a digital smart level also.
