Removing the rudder and elevator from Yak 52 this weekend in order to recover fabric. Removal appears simple with just 6 bolts at the elevator horn connection and a single bolt under the rudder, then slide both up and/or out. Control wire connections and trim cable are just a clevis pin.
I am confident with recovering the fabric, just unfamiliar with the removal of the surfaces if anyone has any advice.
Also, the surfaces appear to be rib laced, not rib stitched?
Thanks everyone
