Well, if it was a certified engine, and you wanted to keep it certified,
there is an AD that requires teardown inspection for any prop strike
that damages a prop, among other things. Your insurance should have no
problem paying for the teardown and reassembly. There also is an AD
requiring replacement of the crankshaft gear bolt on the back of the
engine. These ADs exist because of engine failures after prop strikes.
The old dial the crank flange and put a fresh prop on has proven to be
NOT SAFE. Yes, you can ignore them with an "experimental" engine, but do
you want to include a crank failure in your experiments?
