I had to mount my battery on the inside of the firewall and move the instrument panel forward several inches on the Pulsar III to get the CG right with a 912. I also used a 3 inch
prop spacer to move it out for more forward CG.

Hello Bill,
I was out of touch for a full week so I could'nt respond to your question. I'll add a bit to what had already been posted here.
The SP100 shared the same FWL footprint as the pulsar III and you could mount a Rotax FWL FWD package onto a SP100. You'll need to mount the battery on the FWL to compensate for the lighter engine. Another good option was the Jabiru 3300.
Jabiru has a FWL FWD kit for it.

Hope this helped.

Is the firewall footprint of a sp100 the same as that of a Pulsar lll , Could a 3300 firewell fwd kit for a pulsar lll be grafted onto a sp100? any ideas? Guys,
The SP100 had the HS positioned 15" further back than the Pulsar III.  That should be properly counter balanced up front to arrive at the right cg.
