Congratulations Paul! Keep us posted as you go through the flight test
process. A long time back, there was a thread about turning the Zodiac
landing gear around so it takes more of the weight off the nose during
landing and takeoff. I'm not sure if anyone has done that. Is there anyone
watching this thread that has actually done that? Would that be something
 you would consider Paul?

				Hi Joe,

I actually installed my gear with the flat edge forward on the first
pass. I think I understand the reason the nose is so hard to get off
the runway. It is because the main gear is put far enough behind the CG
so you can step on the step behind the wing and still not make the tail
 smack in to the ground.

That's what I plan to do as well and I'm going to go with the grove gear to save some weight added by the upgrade.

				Hi Joe,

Before you change something as big and heavy as the landing gear "Spring" you might want to check into the weight and balance impact. With the Zenith spring and Jabiru engine the first W&B came up really nicely with the CG nearly centered in the envelope.
