When I push or pull on the propeller hub I notice some end play, is this normal? If so how much end play is normal?

You need to verify in the overhaul manual but the numbers I have for the O-290 which is in the same family is manufacturing limits of 0.009 - 0.016" and max service limit of 0.026".
