To all,
When Dirk and me planned to go to Texel, we would have made the Waddentrip on Sunday till Wangerooge and then fly back over mid-Germany to our home base at Leopoldsburg, Belgium. We cancelled the Waddentrip because the weather over Germany for our return was not what we expected good VFR conditions. We met Jiri twice before and he was very agreable company; now we missed him because we didn't stay the night over and returned on Saturday. Nowadays we can get good meteo information. Let us take a lesson out of this accident. We are good weather pilots and fly in only VFR conditions with our small airplanes.
Nevertheless, I am very sad for what happened to the brothers Vicharek, and hope some one will bring my condoleances to their families.
Karel Vranken.

Anyone for a DOTH tomorrow Thursday 16th. Flyer has Seething, Tibbenham and
Gloucestershire whilst LAA has Lands End and Bagby (a bit further afield). I
have not been to anyone of them so have no idea about their bacon butties.

It appears as if the plane was circling before disappearing on 15.9.2010 at 19:20.
The two male passengers were on their way from Holland (Texel Fly-Inn ?) to
CZ.

Gives me the chills every time and I feel sad for the two, their families and
friends.

The owner and pilot was Jiri Vicharek from CZ and his Canadian friend.

I flew with him once and he was a good pilot and a very nice person.

The plane was a Europa Xs Monowheel with Rotax 914T and Airmaster Prop
and
based at Benisov /CZ

According to my information they were coming in bad weather conditions
and
tried to land somewhere (airfield Sch=F6ngleina).

They crashed in the surrounding forest.

Jiri was married and has had 3 children.
I am very sad about this,
Bruno

The other victim was not his Canadien friend, but his brother with Canadien
citizenship.
His brother was also married and has had 3 children, too ... .
Total tragic.

Hi Steve et al,
I  can't make tomorrow. I had decided on Gloucester for Friday 18th -
it's a bit unusual to get a free landing there. Can you make that?
All the best, Paddy

Are you going for stick on vinyl letters? Do you have a reliable source for
these as I am also ready to get some for my mono.
