All:

In my test flights of my 701 with the 912S, I have been seeing high
water temps that are close to the maximum of 250 degrees F. I have cut
off quite a bit of the cowl per the plans and the temperatures are still
on the high side.
What has been everyone else's experience and what have you done to
reduce the water temps. The oil temps and pressures are fine. This
engine only has 7 hours on it so far.

That is too high in my book. I am guessing you are running the Evans coolant, all the local 912 -914 operators here found the Evans stuff adds about 15-20 degrees over using 50- 50 water antifreeze mixture. IMHO
