do not archive

Whoever it was that sent me the off-list question about battery box drain:
I deleted the email and do not recall a name. Sorry.

No, that wasn't my box, but another fellow. However, here is what he did.....
Battery he used wouldn't fit in the ZAC box, so he purchased a marine-type box of correct size.
This new box did not have a drain.
He used a valve stem for a tractor tire (removed the valve) inserted the stem from inside the box.
There is a nut applied from outside, possibly some LocTite, too.
He clamped a hose over the stem, cut hose to appropriate length, etc.

I am aware that there are dozens of valve stem types available. Some are snap-in from the back side, some have threads & washer/nut. A farm equipment or truck parts outlet may be best place to look.

Regards,

Zed/701/R912/90+%/etc

Things sure have gotten quieter without all those radical low-wing guys!

Yes quieter, and the content seems more related to how to build something,
rather than speculation about how something un-built itself. Which is a nice
change in my view.

Jeff
