Builders:

I followed the measurements exactly when fabricating the Nose Gear
Stop (7F8-6). The problem with that was that I was off about 1/8"
somewhere else when doing the Nose Gear Strut Assembly (7L1-1J). The
result is a gap of about 1/8" between the Nose Gear Stop and the steel
tube to which the steering rods attach. Rather than ordering new Nose
Gear Stops from Zenair I am considering adding some bearing material
as that contained in the Lower Bearing (7F7-4C).

The list has previously had pictures of such a fix and the material
was named but I cannot locate either in my files. I can find nothing
in Aircraft Spruce that resembles what I am looking for. Could
someone help me out with the name and where the item can be purchased?

Ultra high molecular something. Try UHM on the McMaster sight. I bought mine from them.

Bob Spudis
N701ZX with UHM material on the outside under the fairlead covers. Not very noticeable.
