I just started test flying an X-Air with a 2200 engine the engine starts great idles super but when I really give it a lot of throttle and put the plane in a steep climb it hitches on regular intervals for a while then it will run fine until I start climbing steep or make a steep turn what should I look for to cure this problem ?
as long as I don't jab the throttle or make aggressive maneuvers it runs great

Does it "hitch" with a constant throttle setting ?
ie, without moving the throttle and just pulling back the stick does it hitch?

When it is hitching, does applying the "choke" help or hinder it? I
finally determined that my recent carb problems were caused by low
float level, and possibly using the very light-sprung float needle.
Mine hitched just after climbout began, and I got it back to the
field, hitching all the way.

Just curious...is this a pusher configuration, or tractor?
It sounds like a fuel level problem to me. Last week I talked to Bing
and the very knowledgeable lady there said that to check fuel level,
lower the bowl and there should be 1/2" of air space from the fuel to
the top of the bowl.

Well I checked it this morning and that is what I came up with the fuel in the carb bowl was 1/2" inch below the top I adjusted the Float reinstalled the float Bowl and fired up the engine for a minute removed the float bowl and now it is 1/8" from the top and that cured my hitching problem That Problem solved now, Thanks for the info Guys.
I got the test flight on this one finished

NOW I WILL STAND BACK AND THROW ROCKS AT 912 rotax engines

now it was a bit warmer today and the oil temp was able to get to hi oil temp range What are you guys running for oil coolers on your engines this guy I built this plane for didn't want one but now I showed him that it will need one during summer months and do you use oil thermostats in the system?

You might have a leaking float needle valve. Your fuel shutoff might
not be holding securely, allowing excess fuel to leak into the bowl
just as you lower the bowl to check the amount in there. You would
have to be almost overflowing the bowl to be able to lower the bowl
from the carb, and have 1/8" of fuel below the top...the floats would
account for more volume than this. Something doesn't sound right here.
