Folks,

On the 11th of Feb. an RPA ecom was sent out detailing the RedStars mass formation program that several volunteers have worked on over the last few months.  If you are an RPA member and did not get this ecom, please email Jeff Linebaugh, Terry Calloway, Jim Goolsby or reply to this post off list! (check your email inbox for the ecom) - these folks are working to put the program on its feet to...

The program has 79 FAST and near soon-to-be-FAST rated pilots signed up, and four shows are booked from ICAS.  18 pilots have signed up for the four shows and this sign up form will go out periodically to the members, it's important that every FAST pilot has a chance to put their name in the hat.

RedStars is a program that allows the RPA to attend ICAS each year to market the mass formation flying skills of members to the airshow industry during this critical sc heduling convention.  Airshows that request RPA mass formation are then communicated to you the membership via ecom sign up form (which will be posted on the new website as well). From that point on the member pilots execute the airshow mass formation.  The program attempts to insure the organizers provide a standardized support package for the pilots flying (gas, oil, rooms, transpo).

We hope this sets up more opportunities to allow pilots to fly in leading airshows around the US/Canada.  The program hopes to be self-funded by donations collected from the airshows and eventual corporate sponsorship.

Thanks for listening,

Drew
