I am finally finishing up the install on Doug Sapp's project motor I picked up as he closed down business.

I have been learning and relearning a lot and the end is insight.

I have seen this issue before but it has been so long (over 30 years) so I need some reminding.

The mixture cable is binding after about an inch of movement toward lean.  The cable is retracting as seen from the engine. I see no huge/sharp bends in the tube, no worse than many that are working.

I am thinking it must be where the solid end meets the cable in side and a minor kink is restricting movement. How long are the solid rod ends?  Perhaps that will help me locate the issue.

Or I am all wet!  Any ideas, or helpful hints? I am sure that I am not the first.
