Has anyone transported a CJ across the road ?

How are they mounted in the shipping crates? mounted on side?

Yes sir. Standing on the wing stub. Becomes a very expensive overland transport because of the height. Dennis

We've done this.

The wings/horizontal stab and fin/rudder can stay in the shipping crate and be laid flat, the fuse can come out of the crate frame and stand on its gear and then go onto a flat bed like that with chocks and straps.

Hope this helps
