After using Arp lube and using the Finch method for torquing the Head Studs, one of the studs simply came out of the case at about 17 ft-lbs, dragging the threads of the case with it. It looked like a neat little spring. So now after reading William Wynne's articles on thread patterns of the studs, I'm trying to discover the best way to tap the case to accept either the original stud or one that has a more universal thread pattern. Note that the case now has no threads shown and looks like a clean reamed out hole. Any suggestions?
