OK tron-heads,

The 430W will output both Analog CDI and ARINC 429 signal sets…simultaneously.
The SL-30 will output Analog CDI signals - or - ARINC 429 signals – mutually exclusive…no ‘both’ setting.

I have a GRT Mini-AP with their ARINC interface as my primary HSI interface. Works fine when the SL-30 is in the ARINC mode…I can select either the 430W or SL-30.

I also have a NARCO NAV122D/GPS as a backup NAV radio – it has a display head which will accept the analog inputs from the 430W and the SL-30 (when in the Resolver/converter mode). The NARCO is set up as a backup display only.

If I had a converter, I could set the SL-30 to converter mode and drive both the NARCO and GRT displays when necessary.
Anyone know of anyone that makes such a box or card…?!

Thanks,
Ralph Capen
