Hello fellow flyers:
I have been helped here in the past.I am looking for information on installing a soft pack parachute behind the seat on my firestar11. It is a Magnum 715# .I received it yesterday. I placed it behind my seat and moved it around the area to mount it and it looks like it would fire close to the strut(not good)someone out there probably has mounted one of these with a little additional bracket modification.any info would be very appreciated.I have flown different ultralights over the years and have found my way back to another Kolb.My runway was vacant for awhile and small trees had started to grow.I pulled the trees I had a neighbor disk it and a landscaper come in and go over it with his equipment, seeded and fertilized it a couple of weeks ago.the grass should be coming in in two more weeks.the runway is 60 ft.wide x 1850 ft. long (gee do yo think it’s long enough)haha.I am on 50 acres here in northern Michigan.I have had a blast flying off the property over the years(very blessed).
Thanks, Dana

I went to the Magnum web site and saw a small picture of the #715 rig but their information was a bit hard to decipher.
What are the dimensions of the soft pack, what are the dimensions of the rocket, how long is the connector between the soft pack and the rocket, and how long is the connector from the soft pack to the aircraft structure?
How much does the parachute weigh, how much does the rocket weigh? (Approx)
Is the soft pack waterproof? I am using an old 2nd Chantz on the MKIII and a custom covered hand deploy on the FF but am not familiar with the Magnum.
