I've noticed that the gas cap on my allegro 2000 is getting very difficult to remove and replace.  I Believe the the plastic cap has swelled or expanded to the point that it can't be removed with out the use of pliers.  

I thought that it might be the O ring that was causing the problem, so I removed the O ring and tried putting the gas cap on.  No luck.  It was still just as tight.  



If anyone has had this problem and knows a fix, please let me know.
