Hi all,

Is there a reason Zenith changed from putting the fuel sender on top to putting it on the inboard side of the fuel tank. Just want to be sure before I cut that hole.

Regards,

Perry

Clearance issues on the top; there would end up being a bulge in the top skin to clear the sending units.

I did my senders on the sides of the tanks on my 701 and have had no issues with leaks. We had some minor issues with the 750 I helped on and it turned out we just needed more thread sealant on the screws. Once we re-coated the screws there have been no more leakage issues.

Generally speaking, the side mounted senders are not a problem if installed according to plans.
