Yup, high-priced stainless steel bailing wire. It just sounds
cooler...and more professional...to say safety wire (jeez, I've been
watching too much "House")

chris, i have firesleeve on every inch of my fuel line firewall forward. it could save your life inacase of a fire. ive never seen an installation without it. acs has it and no surprise , it's pricey.

Do you guys use any kind of fire shield on the fuel tubing? One of my mechanic buddies had some extra lying around. You know, the orange sleeve stuff with the little fibers inside (probably asbestos that you slide onto the fuel tubing. I think it's used on hydraulic lines on larger aircraft. I'm not sure how much good it would do if there were a fire though and it's ugly to boot.
