Thanks Brett for the comments.
I was active duty....retired in 1995,must have been my boyish good looks that fooled you!! We had our little Gulf War in comparison to the current war....the Men & Women of Iraqi Freedom deserve much more than us Ronald Reagan Warriors, we had trained hard and long to go head to head with the Soviets, In 1986 (IIRC) in the 474th TFW we generated over 1000 sorties with 56 block 10 F-16A's in a 4 day period during an ORI, almost unheard of mission capable rates for that aircraft in that time. From there over to the ROK in 1989 and did the same thing with the Puking Pups in the 36th TFS. Every wing in the USAF during that time was doing the same thing. God help any enemy we were tasked to to fight during time. And I don't mean to take anything away from our current troops, it's just we had been behind the picket fence for 10 years and were getting tired of that kid with the stick running back and forth tapping on the fence. General Chuck Horner was my first Wing Commander. Excellent men and leaders such as General Horner shaped the forces you see today. I am just proud to be a small part of it. Thanks to you and so many people and business's who offer a break to the military. Most of us would say thanks...but the honor was ours. I hope I didn't offend or cross the line with this post, I can't explain the pride that comes with service, those that have served know what I mean. One of those things just have to experience it yourself.

You go telling everybody that and I won't have any public dignity at all.
While I'll admit a certain preference for gin or bourbon, I've been known to settle for beer. Given a choice, I'll pick one you can't see thru, and if it pours like motor oil, so much the better. It tends to be expensive, so I figure having to drag it thru an AN3 hose might make it last a little longer, thus spreading the expense and enjoyment over a few minutes, rather than mere seconds.
As for that game those idiots play, I've heard of it. Tried to avoid losing my beverage walking around it the one time I was in one of THOSE establishments, but I ain't never participated in such a thing. Do you know I had people from all over the world calling me the day after Patrick's O'Club burned down, wandering where I was last night? (I was buying marshmallows and looking for a stick to cut that wasn't oleander, but I didn't throw the match.)
It would appear I would have made a much better MSgt than Capt...
