Charcoal Zolatone and I have Stein's LEDs in six location on the overhead and that is what the buttons are for.

The nice thing about Zolatone is that it looks great and it saves time in prep because you don't need to make the fiberglass sooooo smooth. Seem lines blend in. I also made this removable with ten screws that anchor into brass screw receivers. It covers the screws on the fuse that hold down the hinge C makes a little cleaner look.
Thanks

Just to reiterate "you can" do this yourself . If you can do all the
fiberglass work on the 10 you can make a console. I used blue foam and
molded the console in place C glassed it in place and then released it to get
the blue foam out C finally epoxied back on for good. Just takes time and the
will to do it.

You spray it on with a spray gun with a very large tip. Their web site spells out which guns and tips work.

The reason is that it is very thick material with seperated texture peices than get stuck in guns with narrower tips.

Fiberglass substrates require no primer C but the alluminum and the ferrous metal require a specail primer for the Zolatone. It is not the most refined looking materail C but its simplicity expresses a different look. Best way to discribe it is no frills look C like the difference between a tranatlantic racing sailboat vs. a cruiser for luxury. It works for me.

  A lot of the plastic, scratch built, airplane guys have used this stuff as an interior treatment.  It does a great job at covering up minor imperfections and holds up very well.  I haven’t seen it used where it looks bad either.  I considered using it on the exposed areas but there really aren’t many left once Abby get’s done with the interior.  I also wanted a little extra sound dampening on the interior which is why I’m using a headliner.

  If I ever get around to building that OpenEZ  I’ll probably Zolatone the interior.

I went thru Aircraft spruce C but look at the Zolatone web site C because the primer which Aircraft spruce sells I believe is for ferrous metals and the product number is different than the primer specified by Zolatone for use with Aluminum. Non the less...what I used seems to be working fine. I just cleaned the inside of the quick build fue with denature alcohol and left that van's primer in place.

For $10 you can order the color guide so you can choose which colors you want. I really only like two colors...but they have so many different colors to choose from C one can even make the inside look like those red diner booth chairs...why anyone would want that is beyond me but to each their own.

Just curios because I see this once in awhile. What causes messages,like Michaels below, to go whacky like his did? Sometimes I see these and they are so long it seems like it goes on forever. Not aviation question but hey what the heck :>}

Hmm, most of my messages go out in HTML format from my email program which is fairly common. It looks like stuff is reading correctly into the Matronics forums so I don’t think it’s anything on Matt’s side. (http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?t=52963&start=20 If I had to guess, somewhere along the way something in the message is triggering a translation at your ISP or email reader that is causing the format to change into something unreadable. What are you using for email reader? Looks like you are using the Windows Mail client that comes in Vista. Also if your ISP has webmail, log into there and see if it is scrambled.

Just curios because I see this once in awhile. What causes messages,like Michaels below, to go whacky like his did? Sometimes I see these and they are so long it seems like it goes on forever. Not aviation question but hey what the heck :>}

I see the same with Thunderbird. I suspect a formating bit gets dropped along the way. Also with Gmail. So apparently it happens in the processing of the listserve after a copy goes on the forum.

Some of us don't stoop to the liquid, preferring only the software program.
