Thanks. Are you not going along, or just holding your breath above 12,500? Wink

Stormy,

I have the adapter. I think Larry Bowen will be borrowing my oxygen unit when we go to Yellowstone, so you can borrow the adapter when its time to fill up. I called the folks at Precise Flight and they sent the adapter next day.

I think we will stay east of the Rockies. Larry wants to try the unit out before he buys one. And, that's about 15 pounds more souveneers that Kathy can drag home!

Yellowstone attendees.

I have called Jackson Hole 92nm from Cody and found a raft company that would pick up up from a nearby hotel/B&B and take us to the Snake River for a 3 hour tour, a three hour tour.

Yes I know I wrote that twice but the parallel to Gilligans Island ran through my head. Anyway, for $45 each I am throwing this up. I have not made reservations yet as I am taking indications of interest.

The Alpine Lodge is nearby and the Jackson Hole rafting company takes groups at 10:00am and 3:00pm with pickup and deliver for no extra cost at the hotels. Terry thinks this is a great idea, nuff said.

Stormy and the Mzungu-bride would be up for that - yes, sir!

Count us in if you go forward with it.

BTW, "mzungu" = swahili for "crazy white person" a moniker she picked up in Rwanda this past March.

We would tack this on to the end of the Yellowstone visit, assuming weather is no factor.
So far I have Bill and Mzungu, Tad and Terry.

We would tack this on to the end of the Yellowstone
visit, assuming weather is no factor.
So far I have Bill and Mzungu, Tad and Terry.

Now the Mzungu tells me I shouldn't have spoken for her- whitewater rafting is not her cup of tea. I guess it will depend on the mood she's in and how wild the Snake River is in when we get there.

She is fine with waiting for me to get back from the rafting trip, but thinks she'll probably sit it out.

There is more here but you may have to dig through it.

Next summer I was planning on Sedona, AZ, the Grand Canyon
and Monument Valley. But it can be done anytime.

If you are planning to cross mountains you will need at least 2000' above the
highest terrain to be safe. I would recommend going around rather than over.
Don't forget temperature corrections for true altitude.
