Has anyone modified the Wittman wing tips or know of anyone who has? By modified I mean like droop tips or horner tips, etc. I don't know if either would be of any benefit, I am just curious. The standard tips appear to do a fine job but they are not as pleasing to the eye as some I have seen.

You can really waste a lot of time and money trying to improve on
Wittmans tips... Don't waste your time. They are gorgeous and work
just the way they are supposed to.. Are you currently flying a
Tailwind or just thinking about it?

That is what I expected but it never hurts to ask. I will probabbly leave them as designed. I am just getting ready to start construction of my Tailwind. I have been doing mostly research and materials searches. Thanks for the reply.

Bob,

Will you be in the Titusville or Merritt Island area by chance? I am just starting my Tailwind and would love to see one live.

Terry

Wing tip is continuous extension of original construction. Wood all the
way. No fabric and tube. I fell in love with wingtip modification on
first sight! If you aren't aware of Clement modifications better check
with Jim. Jim is the current "Maestro".

Jim if you are listening...

Hell they look like they are doing 100 mph sitting in the garage. Faster when I make that motor noise with my mouth as I sit in the cockpit imagining the thing is finally done.

Bob:
I cannot find you with that e-mail on the Yahoo forum. Did this start when you changed your e-mail address?

Hope your trip is really great—sounds like it will be!
