Make a note in your diaries for this Sunday, the 10th September. The Laddingford Fly-In in Kent, UK.

Laddingford is located 9nm West of Headcorn on the North side of the East/West railway line. Don't confuse it with Old Hay to the South of the railway line almost at the same location.
Runways are 11/29 which is 750 mtrs long and 03/21 which is 470 mtrs long. All circuits to the North or East and the Safetycom frequency 135.47 will be in operation.
We will have a barbecue running from around 12 onwards with a nominal 3 UK Pounds donation asked.

We normally have a good turnout for this with lots of Europas in attendance, 19 being the rocord to date, so why not come on down and join in the fun.

I have already put out a message about the Laddingford Fly-In in Kent, UK this coming Sunday which is due some very good weather, but a couple of points that will be of interest to those attending.

Anybody approaching from the South, watch out for the TRA near the MAYfield VOR.

Also at the Hop Farm , which is under the base leg of runway 11 at Laddingford will be Terry Wogan hosting a Proms In The Park. This in itself is of no real concern, but I have heard through the grapevine that the Red Arrows may be doing a fly past at 2 pm so keep a good lookout at that time.

Both are shown as NOTAMS.

However the Hop Farm NOTAM is for 1800 - 1830 UTC, not 2 pm.

NotamPlot is wonderful !

I have just read the latest notams and now they are saying that there will be an aerobatic display at the Hop Farm from 18.00 to 18.30 so again be careful if attending our Fly-In.

The 18.00 -18.30 Hop Farm Notam is for the aerobatic display and not the Red
Arrows as my information is that they will just perform a flypast which will
not be notamed

Thank you to everybody who came to our Laddingford Fly-In today.

We had a total of 39 aircraft of which 20 were Europas. Great to see you all.

The barbecue went well and we managed to take nearly 40 people for an air experience flight.

Also, although I was the only one left to see it, the day was rounded off very nicely by the Hawker Hurricane that did the flying display for the Proms in The Park at 7.00 pm with most of the performance right over our heads as the Hop Farm Park is under our base leg for runway 11.

Thanks again, and looking forward to next year,
