I saw a picture of a wing storage rack on some builders web page and made
one like it. It's really quite handy but I can't find the source. Since it
works so well, if anyone knows where it came from perhaps they'd post it for
others to copy as well. It turns out to be about the same height as the
plastic sawhorses I got from Home Depot and that makes it easy to move the
wings apart to work on the insides. I don't have the leading edges and tanks
on yet so I put a 2x4 in instead of the carpet loop to support the spar.
Thanks to someone for a really good idea.

The originator of this wing rack also had the dimensions listed for it so it
was a snap to build out of scrap 2/4's. Had to buy 2 10 foot boards but the
remainder were 28 inches or shorter. Looks like yours Tim, did the idea come
from you? It's a great one.

They wingstand design keeps evolving . You may have gotten the
dimensions from my site here
<http://lrosen.nerv10.com/Construct/WingStand/index.html>. My origin
was dimensions from Tim Olson, who modified the design from Dan
Checkoway, who modified plans I am sure from someone. Why reinvent the
wheel.

Albert, If you email me photos and some commentary on your modifications
or suggestions on how you would do it different next time, I will post
them on my website. Email me at larryrosen(at)comcast.net

Nope, I'm not the originator....I copied by kind of morphing another
wing cart that I saw...maybe for a -7 or something. Then, Larry
liked mine and got the dimensions, improved on it, and
made a great page showing it with all the dimensions.
It's just great to see things like that evolve from builder to
builder. Yours will probably be even better. Wink

There's a better wing storage rack on the plans for the RV7, it's by a crowd
some of you know as Vansaircraft.....
I'll see if I can get this modern technology to work and scan the plans or
photgraph them. The Van's rack will do all the RV models.
