Auto pilot pitch control.

I seem to remember at some time seeing where a Europa builder put the auto pilot pitch servo on the floor in front of the control column with the push rod connected to the elevator circuit via the bottom of the control column mechanism.

I would very much appreciate it if someone can advise me who incorporated this idea please or point me in the direction of photos of same.

Was it Ira Rampil by any chance?

I put my lateral servo on the cockpit floor and the pitch in the rear fuse...if you want pics let me know
