Have been watching the market for RVs (I own a nice 6). It seems very soft. Is this your perception, too, or just me? If it is true, what is the cause? Fuel prices?

Tony,
I have had my -6 for sale for a few months now. It is a 2001 advertised on Barnstormers and most recently in trade-a-plane. I'm asking $63,000.
I guess the market is slow although I've come close to selling but the buyer wanted to take the plane before the money cleared at my bank.
Also have gotten some major "low ball" offers. My medical is not good at this point, but I'm hoping to have it back in a few months and if the
plane doesn't sell by then, I will probably take it off the market and try at another time.
My guess is that there is a glut of airplanes on the market right now and the buyers have a lot to choose from.

I had 2 almost instant responses. I took them each for a ride and got nothing but kudos and praise from each person. They never came back however, and since then I've not had one bite. I don't know whether they were tire kickers or not but they both were very enthusiastic.
I don't know what the problem is as I think the price is right and it would be an easy up-grade to IFR.
My son suggested that I offer to give them a ride for $100 and take that off the price if they buy.

I tried the 100.00 idea out....ONCE..the guy first steped all over the seats ( with greasy shoes) sat down in the grease, threw up all over the panel ( he must have had about a gallon of booze the night before)..then he said that he wanted to fly the plane..in flight..I then asked him if he had flown a plane before..he said no..when we landed, he said he didn't like the flught..walked off and didn't pay anything..when I asked him about the 100>00 he pulled a gun!..from now on I tell them it is thiers to do anything they want to do with it, AFTER they pay me the full ammount...IN CASH!..people like the ones that you and I have had, give everyone who wants a plane and is looking a difficult time of it..good luck and blue skys to you..
