The YouTube link below is not of a 701 but a KitFox. Boy is he having fun. He did three other clips that are on YouTube if you want to see more of the hill top. All I can say is WHAT FUN.

This is actually a Highlander by Just Aircraft. I fly with this guy, Steve. There is another posting that I put on youtube that Steve photographed ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=PTiUds5ms34 ). The 701 lands shorter than the Highlander (if you are willing to approach slow enough) and it always takes off in less space. If you watch where Steve turns around in this video clip, you'll see that I use less space in the 701. But the 701 is, I think, more difficult to land really short because of the very high AOA (and very high power) needed to get the slowest speed at touchdown. I won't do these steep hill tops in my 701. I've put the tail into the dirt on level ground. On a steep hill I would want to add a tail wheel to the 701. And, these are not Steve's first set of wings on that Highlander!

I noticed a loose spring dangling by his tail wheel in one of the hill
landing videos. Tell him to look for it on his next preflight Wink

He noticed it when he reviewed the video. It came off on one of the landings that day, so it wasn't missed on a preflight.
